Red House is a very popular site for travelers to visit in Taipei because it is so easy to get there. Take any MRT and then head to Ximen station on Blue or Green line. The exit is Number 1. About Red House, it built in 1908, is Taiwan's first public market and the most well-preserved class III historical site. The main lobby is an exhibition area for visitors to know the history of Red House. The second flower used to be a cinema for independent films, but it has transformed to be a theater nowadays. The space behind the building is an art district where you can find local artists’ creations and merchandises. It will take you a while to browse all designers’ wonderful ideas. This coming weekend is a long weekend, 3 days long. If you don't know where to kill time. you can simply jump up MRT to Shilin Station, then you can have a lot of fun to enjoy tulips and sunlight in 2021 Shilin Residence Tulip Show. In Europe tulips is a sign of spring. 2021 Tulip Show in Shilin presents various tulips from the Netherlands, Japan and other places. The atmosphere of the Tulip Show transforms the site into a city in Europe. It is very rare to see that much tulips in Taipei, so don't skip it.  The Tulip Show starts from today, Feb 25th to March 7th. There is no entrance fee and the site opens from 09:30 to 18:00. Remember to bring a bottle of water or a cup of coffee and a camera with a full battery, then you will have tons of fun there.  During the weekends and holidays, there are a cultural and creative fair and discounts offered by neighboring shops. Taitung city is the third largest city in Taiwan. Because Taichung city is a relatively new city, it is less crowding and full of creative designs in the city. Today, the focus is on National Taichung Theater. If you have been Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei, you can recall two traditional Chinese style buildings with bright and shining roofs on the tops which are National Concert Hall and National Theater Hall. In order to make an differentiation from National Theater Hall, Toyo Ito, the master Japanese Archector, won the competition to design National Taichung Theater in 2005. Toyo Ito broke the rule of concert hall's concept. He described "this building as one you use your ears to listen to. Accompanied by the theater's natural lighting which constantly changes, when you walk through the theater you hear different sounds, producing unique sensations."
